Description
A highly selective stomach acting biological insecticide.
Effective on Lepidopteran larvae (Caterpillars).
Acts on the target larvae after ingestion of treated vegetation.
Larvae stop feeding rapidly with death 1-3 days later.
Biodegradable.
A wettable powder formulation containing 37.5 % w/w Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies kurstaki strain EG 2348
Rates: 10grm in 10L water for 100m2 ref
Store the product in a cool, dry, ventilated place.
At room temperature (20°C) product is stable for 3 years; reclose the package if partially used. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
This bacteria, must be consumed by a feeding larva or caterpillar.
It will cause the insect to stop feeding due to fatal damage caused to the insects intestinal wall.
The bacteria is naturally occurring and is compatible with organic and IPM systems.
The bacteria is not stable in UV light and will breakdown in c.10 days in daylight.
As the caterpillar must consume it a feeding agent e.g. fructose/glucose should be applied also.
